[DNF] "Vegas is only a small part of the game" [nurbie - 14 May 2006]
|
"Duke doesn't need a squad of team members, and he doesn't need to hide behind things, to kick ass
Seriously though, that video looks awesome! They've done a great job on the art and level design.
As Charlie alluded to and what Denz (Forenmitglied bei 3DR - Anm. d. Verf.) said...Vegas is only a small part of the game.
As more and more people make games, you're going to see lots and lots of overlap in terms of art/locations and everything. This is fine. There are plenty of movies with Vegas in them, and I can enjoy them all."
"Just like if... say... Epic were to do a Las Vegas setting it would *also* look stunning. Or the Metal Gear Solid guys. You get the idea. As gamers we'd be in heaven with all those quality depictions of the setting while offering 3 totally different experiences and styles of play.
It's not an on/off sort of situation. There is plenty of room for multiple games to handle the same settings and not affect the enjoyment of those settings (and all look great for their varying style and needs). How many war torn European cities have we gone through over the past 6 years?"
